Option 1: Full Course - Complete First Year Curriculum + Interactive Learning

Course Option 1 is DSSM Online’s most intensive option.

You will essentially complete the First Year curriculum of DSSM just as an on-campus student would, complete with all readings, textbooks and assignments.
Registering for this Option means that you will receive access to the entire set of teaching subjects from DSSM First Year.

It includes all 24 First Year subjects, including the When Heaven Invades Earth Conference, the Prophetic I Weekend Intensive and the DSSM School Intensive Week.

In addition to this content, Course Option 1 also includes an interactive learning facility, where students are able to complete the same readings and assignments as on-campus students.  Students are given practical assignments, assisted and monitored by tutors, and can also participate in a regular online forum, to ask questions and receive encouragement and guidance. In recognition of the in-depth nature of this course, students who complete all video content, readings and practical and written assignments within 12 months from registering will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Details of this package are as follows:

  • Students will receive access to all 24 subjects from the DSSM First Year curriculum; a total of 85 sessions in all.
  • Sessions include all teaching content from the When Heaven Invades Earth conference, the Prophetic I Weekend Intensive and the DSSM School Intensive Week.
  • Registration for this package enables a 12-month access account for all video and written material, which can be used at your convenience.
  • Each subject includes the video teaching sessions as well as notes (if any were given for that class).
  • Any notes or PowerPoint slides that were given for that class will be available as a downloadable PDF document.
  • Students receive and are required to complete all written and practical assignments for this course; an outline of assessments is included in this Information Pack.
  • Assignments will be submitted online, and feedback sent the same way.  Students will also be able to submit questions for response online.
  • An online weekly forum will be made available to all students, hosted by a facilitator or a tutor.  Students will be able to ask questions, request feedback, connect with other students and receive encouragement.
  • If students successfully complete of subjects and assessment requirements within 12 months of registration, they will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Textbooks and Assignments

This section is only relevant if you are selecting Option 1: DSSM Full Course.

Students will read approximately 6 books throughout their year.  Books will be sent out to you within 4 weeks of registration, giving plenty of time to complete all necessary reading by the subject date.

You will also be able to download supplementary notes and readings as part of several classes, which help to contribute to an overall understanding of the subject.

In addition, you will complete several assignments throughout the year.  These take the form of both written and practical assignments; a combination of book reports based on the assigned texts, personal written responses to questions arising in class, and challenges of faith missions.  Assignments are not expected to be of academic standard, but rather a simple indication of the student’s response to the teaching content.
